On an overland trip by truck to work in highland Mexico, near Guerrero, Chihuahua, close by the Tarahumara homelands, we treated some 1247 patients, many with chronic musculoskeletal conditions and hypertension, and we saw one case of leprosy. Our surgeon, Dr Marc Pinard, did several minor surgery cases and spent a day giving care at the local prison.
