International Medical Alliance of Tennessee was founded in the year 2000 with the goal of developing a volunteer medical relief organization to treat chronic and infectious disease.  International Medical Alliance of Tennessee has worked in Central and South America, the Caribbean and Africa.  Our most recent focus internationally has been Kenya, the Dominican Republic and Haiti.  Our domestic work in the aftermath of Katrina has been in Long Beach, Mississippi and New Orleans, Louisiana.

International Medical Alliance of Tennessee has also begun working with children in orphanages in Haiti. IMA is providing medical care, nutritional support, clean water and latrines for sanitation.

International Medical Alliance of Tennessee is a non-denominational and non-political organization. IMA is funded by the generous donations of individuals, churches and civic groups that believe in and want to support IMA’s work.  Medications are obtained by donation from mission supply charities and from pharmaceutical companies, or purchased at cost from medical missionary supply houses.  Volunteers and community service groups help in the packaging and labeling of medication in the native language of each country.

International Medical Alliance provides access to medical care in under served and vulnerable communities around the world through short term medical mission trips where volunteers give their time and services for the medical relief of the developing world.
